Mr. Heinz was born in Eugene, Oregon on May 24, 1984. His parents moved to Salem when he was two years old and that is where he spent the majority of his time (for better or worse…) until he was eighteen years old. After graduating from Sprague High School, it was time to move onto college…

After graduating from the University of Oregon with his Masters in 2007 Mr. Heinz got his first teaching job at Kennedy Middle School the same summer. He has been teaching English, Social Studies, Creative Writing and Technology at Kennedy Middle School ever since, and loves every day of his job.
Mr. Heinz’s other interests include: basketball, billiards, reading, movies, video games, spending time with friends and family, etc.
